With great sadness and grief — Alvin, Narada, and I share the news that Gwendolyn passed away on in a tragic accident on June 7th, 2025. We are in shock, struggling to grasp that we’ll never sing, laugh, or make music with her again. The world we know—and the music we create—will never be the same without her presence.
Gwendolyn was a dreamer, a seeker, a joyful mischief-maker, and a fiercely free spirit. She was an irreverent lover of God, a drummer, teacher, singer, artist and nature-worshipper. She was a gardener, adventurer, crafts-maker, aromatherapy alchemist, veggie cook, and self-proclaimed “bad yogi.” She was a builder of community, a bearer of bubble magic, a “Who Dat,” a laughter-rouser, hot tub enthusiast, a loyal friend and bandmate. One of a kind, she gave so much to so many.
We are endlessly grateful to have known, loved, and created music with you, Gwendolyn. May your soul, your voice, and your rhythms soar freely in the Great Mystery. We carry you with us—forever.
Friends, if you feel moved to grieve, to honor Gwendolyn’s spirit, or just to bask in her memory, we think Gwendolyn would adore it if you: blew bubbles into the wind, did something irreverently silly, lit a candle or built a fire, beat on a drum—or whatever you have nearby, danced wildly, and sang your heart out…..
We will be dedicating this year’s Bhakti Bliss Retreat in Asheville to Gwendolyn and also having a free, public celebration of her life as part of the weekend on Saturday afternoon November 1st.

With love,
